Holistic + Integrative Health Coach

My goal with creating All Good Things is to cultivate a space to share my practices for facilitating healing and fostering wellness within ourselves, and by extension, our families and communities.

For most of my life, health was synonymous with appearance and I ate in ways that suppressed, as opposed to supported, my emotional state. While my self-worth was inextricably linked to how I looked, my inner world was filled with suffering and doubt. I had little sense of what it meant to use food as a way to nourish my body, mind, and soul. I lived with chronic fear and anxiety, was exhausted all of the time, and was often sick. I ultimately came to the realization that this was not the way I wanted to live my life. As the saying goes, sometimes we are forced to change, simply because the pain and discomfort of staying where we are is too great.

My path towards creating a more balanced and fulfilling life began several years ago when I was introduced to meditation. This was the catalyst for so many positive changes in my life, and this was when I learned how to tap into my inner knowing. As a result of meditation, I began to live more consciously, and cultivated an inner awareness. This has been the foundation for my healing journey.

Developing a spiritual practice opened me up, and it allowed me to begin to notice and sense the messages that my body was sending me. As my mind cleared and my nervous system relaxed I was able to pick up on certain subtleties that I hadn’t before, like how certain foods made me feel on an energetic level. This is where my approach to health became an inside-out job, and I began to use food as a means of healing.

I began learning what nutrients, foods, and practices would help me to rebuild my immune system. I started to see my anxiety and stress through the lens of nutrition, and became aware of what exacerbated my symptoms versus what helped me to feel more grounded and calm. There is an inherent and undeniable connection between our physical and emotional bodies. And, the truth is - we look our best and radiate beauty when we are nourished from the deepest place within ourselves.

As a kid, I would always end up in the “self-help” section of the bookstore. I was searching for something that would make me feel whole, and craving a connection to something greater than myself. Somehow I was aware, even at a young age, that going inward was where true peace and fulfillment lay. While I spent my teens and my 20’s doing my very best to get away from how I felt inside, my 30’s have been a period of coming back to myself and redefining what health and happiness truly mean for me. Over the past few years I’ve worked with a variety of holistic and alternative medicine practitioners, from reiki healers and acupuncturists to meditation and kundalini teachers. I’ve also been heavily influenced by countless books written by profound spiritual teachers. I’ve learned that much of healing is cultivated by awakening the power we have within ourselves, and that we can fuel that with our minds and intentions. I felt called to dive deeper and to hold space for others who are on a similar journey.

Studying with The Institute for Integrative Nutrition and becoming a holistic health coach has helped me to synthesize the connections between diet, lifestyle, and spirituality, and to approach what it means to live a life well lived from an entirely new perspective. My intention is to help others activate their own inner healer, guiding and supporting them on the path towards a more connected and fulfilling life.
